Rahul Gandhi is currently on a 10-day tour in the United States, during which he has spoken at various venues such as the National Press Club and Stanford University. The Hudson University shared images of Rahul Gandhi engaged in discussions with “think tanks,” which sparked widespread speculation about the nature of these discussions. In one particular image, Rahul Gandhi is seen conversing with Sunita Vishwanath at Hudson University, leading to further discussions and debates.
The image raised concerns and prompted conversations about the possible connections between Rahul Gandhi, Islamists, anti-India elements, and George Soros. HinduACTion, a US-based organization, tweeted the image, expressing astonishment at Sunita Vishwanath’s presence next to Rahul Gandhi. They claimed that Sunita Vishwanath, who works for an organization that is considered anti-India and collaborates with radical groups like ICNA and CAIR, is associated with Rahul Gandhi’s inner circle. This raised questions about Rahul Gandhi’s knowledge or potential compromise as the leader of the Opposition in India.
Following the tweet by Hudson University, several other tweets surfaced, discussing the alleged malicious intentions of Sunita Vishwanath and her close association with Rahul Gandhi. During his trip, Rahul Gandhi has faced criticism for whitewashing the Muslim League and spreading false information about India.
Sunita Vishwanath is the co-founder of a US-based organization called “Hindus for Human Rights,” which has been accused of spreading lies and propaganda against Hindus, aligning with Islamists, and having ties to George Soros. Investigations by Info-warfare and Psy-war OSINT Disinfo Lab revealed that Hindus for Human Rights (HfHR) promotes a misleading narrative of “Hindu Vs Hindutva” and supports the “Dismantling Global Hindutva” event.
According to Disinfo Lab, HfHR was established in 2019 by two Islamist advocacy groups, the Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC) and the Organization for Minorities of India (OFMI). These organizations, along with Hindus for Human Rights, also formed an alliance called the Alliance for Justice and Accountability (AJA). The AJA actively participated in demonstrations against Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Houston in 2019.
Sunita Vishwanath, the co-founder of Hindus for Human Rights, is also associated with an organization called ‘Women for Afghan Women,’ which receives funding from the Soros Open Society Foundation. George Soros has been known to promote an anti-India narrative through media and civil society channels.
Notably, Sunita Vishwanath, who was photographed alongside Rahul Gandhi, has been involved in creating panic among Indian Muslims regarding the National Register of Citizens (NRC). During his US trip, Rahul Gandhi endorsed false information and propaganda against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and NRC, which contributed to anti-Hindu riots in India in 2020.
Raju, a founding member of HfHR, also leads EKTA, an associate organization of IAMC. The purpose of EKTA is to include Hindus on panels to portray a general opposition against Hindutva. Interestingly, HfHR ran Facebook ads to promote previous reports by the USCIRF.
The George Soros factor: Connecting Sunita Vishwanath and Rahul Gandhi
The connection between Sunita Vishwanath and Rahul Gandhi raises questions about their association with George Soros. Sunita Vishwanath, who co-founded Hindus for Human Rights, also runs an organization called “Women for Afghan Women,” which receives funding from Soros’ Open Society Foundation.
George Soros, a billionaire, announced in January 2020 that he would commit $1 billion to establish a global university to combat nationalism and climate change, which he viewed as threats to civilization. At the World Economic Forum in Davos, Soros expressed his intention to support a university project that would address the decline of civil society in a world increasingly dominated by dictators and climate change.
Soros specifically criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of establishing a Hindu nationalist state and implementing oppressive measures in Kashmir, a Muslim-majority region. Soros’s Open Society Foundation has operated in India since 1999, initially providing scholarships and fellowships for Indian institutions. However, Soros has been actively involved in disrupting India through various networks, including NGOs, media, and intellectuals, under the guise of philanthropy.
Over the years, Soros has demonstrated his opposition to the nationalist government in India by funding numerous organizations, manipulating political narratives, and using international institutions such as Freedom House and V-Dem Institute to tarnish India’s reputation globally. Recently, Soros commented on the Adani controversy, which Rahul Gandhi seized upon to criticize the Modi government, suggesting that Soros himself may have fueled the campaign against Adani to undermine PM Modi.
The ties between Congress and Soros run deeper, as evidenced by Salil Shetty, the global vice president of Open Society Foundations, joining Rahul Gandhi during his Bharat Jodo Yatra in Karnataka. Shetty, a former Secretary General of Amnesty International, is known for his involvement in anti-India activities. His presence at various events against the Modi government, including anti-CAA protests and farmer protests, suggests a collaboration between the Congress party and Soros’ agenda.
The alignment of views and narratives promoted by Sunita Vishwanath, Rahul Gandhi, and Salil Shetty, in conjunction with the Congress party, further reinforces the speculation about the Congress party’s cooperation with Soros. This recent image from Rahul Gandhi’s trip to the USA intensifies the suspicions of their association with Soros’ agenda.
Sunita Vishwanath, Rahul Gandhi and IAMC – an Islamist organisations linked to terrorists
According to Disinfo Lab, Hindus for Human Rights (HfHR) was established in 2019 by two Islamist advocacy groups called the Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC) and the Organization for Minorities of India (OFMI). These organizations, along with HfHR, also formed another group called the Alliance for Justice and Accountability (AJA). It is worth noting that IAMC, in particular, has ties to terrorists and has spread false information in India.
Rasheed Ahmed, the executive director of IAMC, is associated with the Indian American Muslim Council, a radical Islamist group with alleged connections to banned terrorist organizations like the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI). IAMC presents itself as a rights advocacy group but is backed by Jamat-e-Islami, and Disinfo Lab’s report reveals its links with the extremist group.
IAMC founder Shaik Ubaid and member Abdul Malik Mujahid have held positions in the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), the US front for Jamaat-e-Islami in Pakistan. According to Disinfo Lab, ICNA has established connections with Pakistan-based terrorist groups such as Lashkar-e-Taiba. The current head of IAMC, Rasheed Ahmed, previously served as the executive director of the Islamic Medical Association of North America (IMANA), and IMANA’s Director of Operations, Zahid Mahmood, is a former Pakistani Navy official.
IAMC has been involved in spreading fake news and misinformation to further the Islamist cause in India. The organization was also charged under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in 2021.
IAMC recently expressed support for the wrestlers’ protest, using that as an opportunity to defend terrorist Yasin Malik, who has been convicted for terrorism, and Aysha Renna, an Islamist who participated in the anti-CAA violence in 2019 and 2020.
IAMC issued a statement condemning the disqualification of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi from Lok Sabha, claiming it was an attempt to harass and intimidate him. The organization accused the ruling party of desperate attempts to maintain power, silence dissent, and decimate the opposition. This false narrative has been repeatedly employed by Rahul Gandhi, including during his current trip to the USA.
Furthermore, a contentious report on religious freedom in India was released by the US State Department, relying on falsified and misleading data from Christian evangelist groups and radical Islamist outfits. The report referenced organizations such as the Federation of Indian Christian Organization in North America (FIACONA), United Christian Forum, Open Doors USA, Evangelical Fellowship of India (EFI), International Christian Concern, and the Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC) to make claims about atrocities against religious minorities in India.
The opposition parties in India also supported this report, which aligns with the tropes propagated by Rahul Gandhi, accusing minorities of being under attack and religious freedom being denied in India. It is important to note the nefarious anti-India activities of all these organizations, as detailed in the report.
What adds to the gravity of this situation is the apparent involvement of IAMC in Rahul Gandhi’s trip to the USA.
On June 4th, Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to deliver a speech at the Javits Centre in New York, and the US-based Indian Overseas Congress (IOC) is working extensively to ensure the success of this event. However, a registration form that has been circulating on social media has raised concerns. The form, which is now closed for registration, includes a list of individuals to contact for more information, and some of these individuals are believed to have links to anti-India activities. The list includes names associated with mosques and people such as Tazeem Ansari and Niaz Khan from Masjid Al-WALI/MCNJ North Edison Woodbridge TWP NJ, Jaweed Syed, Habeeb Siddiqui, and Mir Quadri from Masjid MCMC South Edison/Piscataway/East Brunswick NJ, Mohammed Aslam and Minhaj Khan from ISCJ/MCGP South Brunswick/Kendall Park/Princeton NJ, Aquil Mohammed and Nazeer Syed from Masjid Sadar Sayreville/Old Bridge NJ, and Shaheen Khateeb and Hashir Qazi from (Darul Islah) Teaneck NJ.
All the individuals mentioned in the form, urging Muslims to attend the event on June 4th, have questionable backgrounds. For instance, MCNJ is led by Imam Jawad Ahmed, who is the Project Director of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) and of Pakistani origin. ICNA is a radical Islamist organization that has affiliations with the Jamaat-e-Islami of Pakistan. They have praised Islamic terrorists, including Syed Salahuddin, the chief of Hizbul Mujahideen, for his views on separating Kashmir from India. It should be noted that Salahuddin’s sons were removed from government positions in 2021, and one of his sons, Syed Shakeel Yousuf, was arrested by Indian security agencies in 2018 in a terror funding case. Salahuddin himself had connections with Mehraj-ud-Din, a suspect in the Kandahar plane hijacking in 1999.
Another individual mentioned, Mohammed Aslam, is a member of the Muslim Center of Greater Princeton (MCGP), which is closely associated with ICNA. It has been highlighted that fronts like Justice For All operate under ICNA. Recently, OpIndia reported on ICNA’s efforts to propagate Islam and convert prisoners in US prisons. They were also found organizing fundraisers to distribute Islamic literature, hijabs, and other Islamic items in prisons. ICNA consistently engages in anti-India activities and frequently shares anti-Hindu and anti-India content on social media.
