Renowned actor Amitabh Bachchan is gearing up to make a comeback with a fresh season of Kaun Banega Crorepati. While recognizing the more demanding nature of television shoots compared to films, Bachchan reveals that it’s the live and television audiences’ affection that keeps him motivated.
Hosting the popular quiz show since its inception in 2000 (with an exception in the third season when Shah Rukh Khan took the reins), the 80-year-old actor reflects on his attachment to the audience by citing the example of a notable politician and businessman.
Amitabh shared, “An eminent politician from the early post-Independence era was asked how he managed to address meetings even at the late hour of 3 in the morning at his age. He responded, ‘Though I get tired by day’s end, the cheers from the audience at 3 in the night renew my energy.'”
He then turns to his own audience and adds, “This holds true for any audience, be it in a studio or elsewhere. My heartfelt gratitude goes to the audience, as their response is what fuels our vigor in any professional or non-professional undertaking.”
Amitabh, preparing to host the 15th season of the show, recently shared insights about his habit of sprinting to the center of the stage. He posted set pictures and wrote, “I took up the habit of rushing onto the set because I insisted on it. I faced opposition, but I was determined. I will always charge forward, supported by the love of those around me.”
In addition to his TV venture, Amitabh is slated to appear on the silver screen in the Pan India film “Kalki 2898 AD.” Directed by Nag Ashwin, the movie features Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan in key roles.
