Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently urged citizens to join the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, emphasizing its role in honoring India’s freedom fighters. He highlighted that the tricolor flag embodies sacrifice, dedication, and peace, and that this campaign is a way to remember those who fought for independence. Shah noted that the initiative, which has gained momentum over the past two years under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, is fostering a renewed sense of unity among Indians.
Shah invited people to participate by displaying the national flag at their homes from August 9 to August 15 and sharing their selfies on the campaign website [Har Ghar Tiranga](https://harghartiranga.com).
In his 112th ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on July 28, Prime Minister Modi encouraged everyone to take part in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign to mark Independence Day. He noted the rising trend of people taking selfies with the national flag and posting them on social media. Modi also urged party leaders and supporters to ensure that the flag is prominently displayed at homes, offices, and shops from August 13 to August 15.
The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, which celebrates 75 years of India’s independence. This initiative aims to inspire patriotism and increase awareness about the Indian National Flag. Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is a Government of India effort to commemorate the nation’s history, culture, and achievements, while also looking forward to a future driven by the spirit of Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Prime Minister Modi’s vision of an empowered India.
