Recently spotted together at the HT India’s Most Stylish Awards in Mumbai, Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon’s appearance has sparked rumors of a potential film collaboration. During the event, Raveena presented an award to Akshay, further fueling speculation about their reunion on-screen.
According to a Pinkvilla report, an unnamed source shared insights into this potential project. The source mentioned that despite having worked together in the past on films like the iconic Mohra, their upcoming venture, tentatively titled “Welcome to the Jungle,” represents a unique dynamic between them, unlike anything seen before.
The report revealed that “Welcome to the Jungle” is an adventure comedy, part of the Welcome franchise, and will bring Akshay and Raveena together after a span of two decades. Their previous collaborations include hit films from the 1990s like “Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi” and “Keemat: They Are Back.” The iconic dance numbers “Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast” and “Tip Tip Barsa Pani” from the movie “Mohra” remain etched in fans’ memories.
Akshay and Raveena’s real-life relationship history adds an interesting layer to their on-screen chemistry. In the 1990s, they were romantically linked and starred in several films together. However, their personal lives took different paths as Akshay eventually married Twinkle Khanna, while Raveena tied the knot with film distributor Anil Thadani.
The “Welcome” franchise has garnered attention for its ensemble cast and comic capers. The first film released in 2007, followed by “Welcome Back” in 2015. While the sequel didn’t fare well at the box office, the anticipation for “Welcome to the Jungle” remains high, with both Akshay and Raveena reportedly excited about their upcoming on-screen reunion.
