Ajay Jain Bhutoria, originally from Rajasthan and raised in Assam, India, has experienced a remarkable journey from excelling academically in chemical engineering to becoming a political strategist in the United States. After relocating to the US for an MBA, Ajay worked with prominent companies like Price Waterhouse and IBM, specializing in IT, technology, and HR processes. His life took a turn when he met President Obama in San Francisco, sparking deep involvement in the Democratic Party and fundraising activities.
During Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, Ajay served as a co-chair on the AAPI National Finance Committee, forming connections with influential figures. Despite Clinton’s loss, Ajay’s political engagement intensified. In the subsequent presidential elections, he played a pivotal role in campaigning for Joe Biden, employing innovative strategies to boost voter turnout.
Ajay attributes his success to his Indian heritage, utilizing cultural elements like food, music, and Bollywood-style videos in campaigns. His unwavering support for President Biden stems from the emphasis on unity, inclusive immigration policies, reduced hate crimes, and efforts to strengthen US-India relationships.
Starting his US journey with uncertainties, Ajay’s resilience led to his appointment as an advisor to the AAPI and NHPI Commission by President Biden. He dedicated himself to resolving immigration challenges and contributed recommendations leading to initiatives like the White House Economic Summit. Serving as Deputy National Finance Chair for the Democratic Party, Ajay remains actively involved in political initiatives.
Residing in Fremont, California, Ajay expresses gratitude for his journey, co-founding Radio Zindagi, participating in educational initiatives, and committing to philanthropy. His book focuses on life management tools for a happy life, inspired by interactions with Jain Monks and Buddhist monks. Currently working on supporting the Democratic Party’s campaign for the 2024 presidential elections, Ajay brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his political endeavors.
