The upcoming episode of the popular quiz-based reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) is set to host members of the World Cup-winning Indian Women’s Cricket team, celebrating their historic achievement on the prestigious stage.
The special episode will feature team skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, Harleen Kaur Deol, Richa Ghosh, Shafali Verma, Deepti Sharma, Sneh Rana, along with India Women’s Team Head Coach Amol Muzumdar. The players will be seen engaging in lively conversations and sharing inspiring moments with host Amitabh Bachchan.
Bringing together two of India’s greatest passions — cricket and quizzing — the episode promises entertaining exchanges, behind-the-scenes anecdotes, and heartfelt reflections on the team’s journey to World Cup glory. The interaction will highlight team spirit, camaraderie, and the pride of representing the nation on the global stage. However, star opener Smriti Mandhana will not be appearing in this episode.
Earlier this month, Team India secured a remarkable victory over South Africa in the World Cup final, replicating a dominant performance similar to the men’s T20 World Cup 2024 triumph. After South Africa opted to bowl first, India posted a formidable total of 298 runs. Despite a valiant century by South African skipper Laura Wolvaardt, who scored 101 runs, the Proteas fell short as India clinched victory by 52 runs.
Deepti Sharma was awarded the Player of the Tournament for her consistent performances, while Shafali Verma earned the Player of the Match honour for her impact in the final.
