Ayodhya, the revered birthplace of Lord Ram, is alive with excitement as the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir nears its grand completion. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has confirmed that the magnificent temple will be inaugurated on November 25, 2025. The date will also feature a ceremonial flag-hoisting to mark the completion of the temple’s construction.
According to ANI, Nripendra Mishra, Chairman of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Construction Committee, announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been invited to attend the event. “The Prime Minister has indicated his intent to participate in the ceremony. By then, the entire temple complex is expected to be fully ready for devotees,” Mishra shared. He further mentioned that the adjoining auditorium is expected to be completed within the first half of 2026.
Inside the temple, the grandeur is both spiritual and architectural. The main floor features five distinct halls — Nritya Mandap, Rang Mandap, Sabha Mandap, Prarthana Mandap, and Kirtan Mandap — designed to evoke devotion and reverence. At the heart of the complex lies the Sri Ram Darbar, housing exquisite marble idols of Lord Ram, Mata Sita, Lord Hanuman, and Lord Ram’s brothers — Bharat, Lakshman, and Shatrughan.
The idols of Ram and Sita are seated on a gold-plated throne, symbolizing divinity and unity. Hanuman and Bharat kneel at their feet, while Lakshman and Shatrughan stand gracefully behind them, embodying familial devotion as depicted in the Ramayana. The architecture is equally mesmerizing, featuring 140 intricately carved pillars on the main floor and a total of 392 throughout the complex. Each pillar narrates episodes from Hindu scriptures, blending artistic mastery with sacred storytelling.
While access to the first floor remains limited, released visuals reveal a breathtaking combination of polished stonework, delicate carvings, and intricate inlays that honor India’s timeless architectural traditions. Every element — from the ceilings to the flooring — has been designed to merge artistic beauty with spiritual depth.
The timing of the inauguration coincides with Diwali 2025, adding even more splendor to Ayodhya’s festivities. The city’s famous Deepotsav, scheduled from October 18 to 20, will illuminate the ghats of the Saryu River with a record 2.8 million diyas, turning the city into a sea of golden light. As Ayodhya prepares for this historic event, the Ram Mandir stands as the spiritual heart of the celebrations, representing devotion, heritage, and unity.
