Mumbai: The 70th Filmfare Awards turned into an unforgettable evening for the Bachchan family as Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, and Abhishek Bachchan were all honored on the same night, marking a rare moment of pride and celebration for Indian cinema’s most iconic family.
Amitabh Bachchan, sharing his heartfelt gratitude on social media, posted a still featuring three Black Lady trophies along with an audio clip of his deep baritone voice saying, “Jaya, Abhishek, and I—our great fortune and full gratitude towards the audience. Many, many thanks.”
He captioned the post, “One family… three members in the same industry… and three awards on the same day. 70 years of Filmfare honoring Jaya, Best Actor 2025 for Abhishek, and yours truly for the 70-year celebration. Our great fortune and gratitude to the audience—many thanks 🙏.”
Abhishek Bachchan won the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male) award for his performance in I Want To Talk, a powerful father-daughter drama. He shared the honor with Kartik Aaryan, who was recognized for his role in Chandu Champion.
Taking the stage with emotion, Abhishek said, “This year marks 25 years in the film industry, and I cannot remember how many times I’ve practiced a speech for this award. This has been a dream, and I’m just so touched and humbled. Receiving it in front of my family makes it even more special.”
Dedicating his win to his wife and daughter, he added, “To Aishwarya and Aaradhya, thank you for allowing me to go out and follow my dreams. This film is about a father and a daughter, and I want to dedicate it to my hero—my father—and my other hero—my daughter.”
