Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have reached a milestone they have long awaited—the completion of their six-storey bungalow in Mumbai, reportedly valued at $30 million. While undeniably a symbol of luxury, the residence represents something far deeper: family legacy, love, and continuity.
The house stands on grounds steeped in Kapoor history. Once home to Ranbir’s legendary grandparents, Raj Kapoor and Krishna Raj Kapoor, the property later belonged to his parents, Rishi and Neetu Kapoor, who moved in during the 1980s. Now, the torch passes once again, with Ranbir and Alia preparing to raise their daughter, Raha, in the same cherished space.
The exterior of the home balances understated elegance with natural beauty. Cool grey walls are softened by green plants cascading from balconies, while glimpses of glowing chandeliers highlight the soaring ceilings inside. The design reflects a harmonious blend of modern sophistication and timeless charm.
Both Ranbir and Alia have been closely involved in the project, frequently visiting the site to ensure every detail reflects their vision. Neetu Kapoor, too, has taken an active role in overseeing construction, emphasizing the emotional weight the bungalow carries for the entire family.
In a particularly heartwarming gesture, reports suggest that the property—named after Krishna Raj Kapoor—will be officially registered in young Raha’s name, underscoring its importance as a generational gift.
Though rumors last year hinted that the family might celebrate Diwali in the house, construction delays pushed the timeline. Now, finishing touches are nearly complete, and the family is expected to move in before this year’s festival of lights. “It’s the moment they have been waiting for,” a source revealed, adding that Diwali 2025 will likely be the couple’s first in their new home with Raha.
Beyond its personal significance, the bungalow reflects the couple’s values—respecting tradition while embracing modernity, and investing love and attention into every corner. For Ranbir and Alia, it isn’t just a house; it is a home that symbolizes continuity, belonging, and new beginnings.
On the professional front, the duo is set to reunite on screen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War with Vicky Kaushal, marking their first collaboration since Brahmastra.
