India is set to honor its micro, small, and medium enterprises on June 27, 2025, with President Droupadi Murmu presiding over the MSME Day 2025 – Udyami Bharat celebrations at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. This event, organized by the Ministry of MSME, will highlight the pivotal role MSMEs play in the nation’s economy and introduce new strategies to strengthen the sector for the future. Key attendees include Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, Minister of State Shobha Karandlaje, and KVIC Chairman Manoj Kumar, along with various stakeholders and dignitaries.
To honor 25 years of the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE), the President will unveil a special commemorative postage stamp. CGTMSE has backed over 11.8 million credit guarantees, amounting to $114.42 billion since its inception. In the fiscal year 2025 alone, the scheme facilitated $35.03 billion in credit guarantees—a record-breaking achievement for the fund.
President Murmu will also launch the Ministry’s Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) Portal, which aims to streamline the resolution of payment delays that often challenge MSMEs. This digital tool is expected to reduce litigation time, improve business transparency, and strengthen MSME confidence in dealing with delayed payments.
In addition to technological and financial tools, the President will inaugurate MSME Hackathon 5.0, aimed at fostering innovation among entrepreneurs. The results of Hackathon 4.0, conducted under the MSME Champions Scheme, will also be announced. To further empower business owners, the Ministry will release two key publications: the ‘MSME Patrika’ journal and a ‘Know Your Lender’ guide, aimed at educating entrepreneurs on financial literacy and credit options.
Altogether, the day serves not only as a recognition of the sector’s contribution but also as a stepping stone for future innovation and growth. Through these strategic initiatives, the government reaffirms its commitment to making the MSME sector stronger, smarter, and more competitive on the global stage.
