Speaking at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on June 24, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed India’s strong and resolute stand against terrorism. Referring to the success of Operation Sindoor, he stated that no terrorist who spills Indian blood would find a safe haven. According to Modi, the operation was a powerful example of India’s evolving defense strategy, where national interest drives decision-making.
The Prime Minister emphasized that India’s reliance on foreign defense imports is steadily declining. During Operation Sindoor, Indian armed forces reportedly compelled their adversaries to surrender within just 22 minutes—using entirely domestically made weapons. He expressed pride in India’s increasing defense capabilities and envisioned a future where Made-in-India weapons gain international prestige.
Modi was addressing a gathering commemorating the 100th anniversary of the historic dialogue between Mahatma Gandhi and Sree Narayana Guru, which took place at Sivagiri Mutt in Kerala in 1925. Calling the meeting a beacon of inspiration for today’s India, Modi praised Guru’s teachings of social harmony, truth, and selfless service, values he said remain deeply embedded in India’s development philosophy.
He further said that Guru’s principles influenced the government’s “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” vision—promoting inclusive growth with a focus on those at society’s margins. Modi also noted his longstanding spiritual connection with the saints of Sivagiri Math and mentioned that Varkala, often referred to as the “Kashi of the South,” shares deep cultural ties with his own spiritual base in Kashi.
Sree Narayana Guru’s message of “One caste, one religion, one God for mankind” was highlighted as a guiding light for a discrimination-free society. Modi claimed his government is working to eliminate inequality through targeted welfare programs for marginalized communities including women, tribals, and Dalits.
The Prime Minister concluded by urging that Guru’s vision—centered on education, unity, and economic strength—should reach every citizen. He underscored that a truly empowered India must lead not just in economic and military terms, but also in social cohesion and moral clarity.
