A powerful video of Indian political leaders from various parties standing together against terrorism is going viral, symbolizing national unity. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju shared the video on X (formerly Twitter), captioning it with a strong message of solidarity: “When it comes to defending Bharat, We are not many, We are One. One mission. One message. One Bharat. #OperationSindoor #India #EkBharatShreshthaBharat.”
The video has resonated deeply with audiences, not just for its powerful visuals, but for the rare display of bipartisan unity. Featured in the clip are influential voices such as Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, DMK’s Kanimozhi, AIMIM’s Asaduddin Owaisi, TMC’s Abhishek Banerjee, Shiv Sena’s Priyanka Chaturvedi, and Manish Tewari—all echoing a clear message of zero tolerance for terrorism and unwavering support for national security. Their collective condemnation of Pakistan’s actions has been hailed as a symbolic stand for national interest over political divides.
This video forms a core part of the Indian government’s larger global diplomatic initiative under Operation Sindoor, launched following the brutal terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam on April 22 that left 26 tourists dead. In retaliation, the Indian Armed Forces carried out targeted airstrikes on May 7 across nine terror hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
As part of this international outreach effort, seven high-level Indian delegations—led by figures like Shashi Tharoor, Sanjay Jha, and Kanimozhi—were dispatched to 33 nations. The goal: to rally diplomatic support, amplify India’s counter-terrorism narrative, and isolate state-sponsored terrorism on the global stage.
The selection of these 33 nations was strategic. According to a briefing by Vikram Misri, 15 of the selected countries are current members of the United Nations Security Council, including all five permanent and ten rotating non-permanent members. Five additional nations, poised to join the UNSC soon, were also included. The remaining countries were chosen based on their geopolitical importance and active engagement in global discussions surrounding terrorism and security.
Despite Pakistan’s escalation—launching drones and missiles aimed at Indian cities and military zones—India’s robust air defense systems successfully intercepted and neutralized the threats. Operation Sindoor’s success, combined with the viral display of political unity, has greatly bolstered India’s international position in combating terrorism.
