Spiritual leader and Isha Foundation founder Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev has strongly denounced the recent terror strike in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, describing the assault as inhumane and deeply tragic. The attack, which took the lives of at least 26 innocent tourists in Baisaran, drew sharp condemnation from the spiritual figure, who emphasized the urgent need for a tough and uncompromising response.
Expressing profound sorrow, Sadhguru extended heartfelt condolences to the grieving families of the victims. In his statement, he underlined that terrorism does not aim for war in a traditional sense but seeks to paralyze a society through fear, social division, and disruption of economic progress. He stressed that the deliberate spread of chaos is designed to erode the foundation of law and order.
According to Sadhguru, the only way to counter such deliberate acts of violence is through unwavering determination and strength. “To protect the sovereignty and integrity of the nation, those behind such horrors must be dealt with firmly and decisively,” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Looking beyond immediate reactions, Sadhguru advocated for a long-term perspective in combating terrorism. He suggested that the roots of extremism could be addressed through wider access to quality education, equitable economic opportunities, and a fair distribution of national resources. These, he believes, form the groundwork for a more resilient and harmonious society.
Despite the devastation caused by the Pahalgam attack, Sadhguru called for unity, urging citizens to rise above divisions of caste, religion, and politics. He emphasized that the nation must collectively support the armed forces and law enforcement personnel as they work to secure peace and justice.
In response to the deadly ambush, security forces have launched an intensive counter-terror operation. A manhunt is currently underway to track down those responsible. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has also deployed a high-ranking team, led by an Inspector General, to collaborate with local authorities on the ongoing investigation.
Sadhguru’s message comes as a powerful reminder that in times of national crisis, unity, resilience, and proactive strategies are key to overcoming darkness with strength and purpose.
