Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the India-Middle East-Europe Corridor (IMEEC) as a groundbreaking initiative to enhance regional connectivity and economic growth during his meeting with UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
In discussions held on Thursday, PM Modi extended warm regards to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as stated by the Ministry of External Affairs. PM Modi expressed satisfaction with the ongoing high-level exchanges, including the September 2024 visit of Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, reflecting the enduring strength of bilateral ties.
Both leaders underscored the importance of expanding their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, particularly in the fields of technology, energy, and cultural connections. The UAE’s Foreign Minister shared insights on West Asia’s current situation, and PM Modi reaffirmed India’s commitment to ensuring long-term peace, security, and stability in the region.
PM Modi also thanked UAE leadership for their efforts in safeguarding the welfare of the substantial Indian community residing in the UAE.
Later, PM Modi posted on X, noting the mutual dedication to regional peace and prosperity. He expressed his pleasure in receiving the UAE’s Deputy PM and Foreign Minister, HH AB Zayed, and noted that the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership is set to reach new heights. He reaffirmed India’s commitment to peace, stability, and security in West Asia and beyond.
The UAE Deputy Prime Minister’s visit to New Delhi coincided with the 4th Strategic Dialogue and the 15th India-UAE Joint Commission Meeting, reinforcing the deepening cooperation between the two nations.
