Indian American Akhil Shrivastava has been named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Estée Lauder Companies Inc., starting November 1. Shrivastava, a Delhi University graduate, will report directly to Executive Chairman William P. Lauder and President and CEO Fabrizio Freda.
Fabrizio Freda praised Shrivastava’s over 25 years of financial and leadership expertise, emphasizing his crucial role in steering the company’s strategic initiatives. Freda expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with Shrivastava to enhance the company’s profitability and sales growth.
In his new role, Shrivastava will oversee the company’s Global Finance, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Investor Relations, and New Business Development. He will lead the Global Finance & Strategy team, focusing on driving sustainable value, governance, and strategic business objectives.
Since joining Estée Lauder in 2015, Shrivastava has held several senior finance positions, including Senior Vice President, Corporate Controller. He has been instrumental in corporate accounting, financial planning, and operational excellence. His previous roles include Senior Vice President, Treasurer, where he managed core Treasury functions and enterprise risk.
Shrivastava will be part of several key senior management groups at Estée Lauder, including the Executive Leadership Team and the Corporate Risk Management Committee. His experience includes transforming ELC’s planning processes and providing strategic financial guidance for various initiatives.
Expressing his excitement about his new role, Shrivastava highlighted his commitment to advancing the company’s growth and profitability. He brings extensive experience from his previous 18 years at Procter & Gamble, where he held various finance and leadership positions.
Shrivastava holds a Master’s Degree in Finance and Control from Delhi University and an undergraduate degree from Engineering College, Rewa.
