As the much-anticipated consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya approaches, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has unveiled a dedicated webpage offering weather-related details for the event and surrounding areas. The webpage provides forecasts for temperature, precipitation, humidity, and wind patterns from January 17 to January 24 in various languages, including Hindi, English, Urdu, Chinese, French, and Spanish. Specifically, on the main ceremony day, January 22, the IMD predicts a minimum temperature of 10.7 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 22.2 degrees Celsius, while Ayodhya recorded 11.6 degrees Celsius on Thursday.
The webpage also extends weather information for cities like Prayagraj, Varanasi, Lucknow, and New Delhi. Additionally, a weather bulletin featuring a seven-day forecast, along with sunrise and sunset timings, is accessible in both Hindi and English.
The consecration ceremony at the Ram temple is scheduled for January 22 at 12:30 pm, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the chief guest. The event has invited thousands of attendees, including saints, politicians, and celebrities. Preceding the ceremony, a seven-day ‘Pran Pratishtha’ commenced on Tuesday in Ayodhya, featuring various Vedic rituals, including the installation of the idol of Ram Lalla in the sanctum sanctorum on the third day. Subsequent days will witness rituals like Aushadhadhivas, Kesaradhivas, Ghritadhivas, Dhanyadhivas, Pushpadhivas, and Madhyadhivas.
