Shivinder Singh, an Indian American entrepreneur, has declared his candidacy for the Yorba Linda City Council in northeastern Orange County, California. Currently serving as the chair pro tem of the Yorba Linda planning commission, Singh aims to leverage his extensive leadership and community involvement to uphold Yorba Linda’s reputation as the “Land of Gracious Living.”
Singh’s priorities encompass preserving local government authority, property and equestrian rights, parental rights, public safety, economic development, accountability, and openness. His vision includes fostering community engagement through empowerment and education. With a commitment to uniting residents and safeguarding Yorba Linda’s heritage, Singh strives to maintain the city’s exceptional quality of life.
Boasting over 25 years of public service, Singh, a licensed electrical engineer with a Master’s degree in computer and electrical engineering, holds certifications in project management. His diverse background spans business and technology, including expertise in artificial intelligence, intelligent transportation systems, and active transportation.
As a successful business owner and CEO for more than 23 years, Singh has demonstrated his commitment to community service by serving as the president and secretary of the Brea Homeowners Association. With a three-year tenure as a Planning Commissioner and prior experience as a Traffic Commissioner for the City, Singh brings a wealth of experience to his candidacy.
