Union Minister Mr. Piyush Goyal highlighted the significance of PM GatiShakti in project prioritization and data-driven decision-making during a workshop on digital learning resources. PM GatiShakti, a transformative initiative, aims to streamline infrastructure projects, propelling capital expenditures to ₹10 lakh crore. The workshop primarily focused on training government officials and integrating PM GatiShakti principles into training programs.
The Aspirational Blocks Programme further incorporates PM GatiShakti into district-level planning for social and economic infrastructure. PM GatiShakti has garnered extensive support, with all Indian states, union territories, and ministries rallying behind the initiative. Its success has been showcased on national and international platforms, drawing interest from other countries.
In collaboration with the Capacity Building Commission, this joint workshop aimed to establish regular training and capacity building courses centered on PM GatiShakti principles at training institutes. Government officials have received training to make informed, data-driven decisions in logistics and infrastructure planning.
To support this, training modules have been developed for various levels of courses, including Foundation, Induction, and Mid-Career courses offered by Central Training Institutes and State Administrative Training Institutes. The workshop facilitated discussions on sector-specific training needs and delivery mechanisms.
Moreover, the Aspirational Blocks Programme will further integrate PM GatiShakti into district and block-level planning for comprehensive area development. The Central Training Institutes and State Administrative Training Institutes will serve as resource centers to assist government officials in utilizing PM GatiShakti NMP for area development planning.
The comprehensive adoption of PM GatiShakti has been a milestone, with every Indian state, union territory, and 39 ministries joining the platform. Success stories and achievements have been showcased on national and international stages, further promoting PM GatiShakti. This flagship project has also garnered interest from other countries, attesting to its transformative impact. A “Compendium of PM GatiShakti” highlighting its successful utilization by states/union territories and central ministries has been released.
