As the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections approach, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address a massive rally on September 25, marking the end of the BJP’s ‘Jan Ashirwad Yatras.’
The BJP aims to gather a crowd of 1 million people at Bhopal’s Jamboree Maidan for the ‘Karyakarta Mahakumbh,’ which coincides with Deendayal Upadhyaya’s birth anniversary. It’s a significant display of strength by the BJP in their bid to gain electoral momentum.
PM Modi will arrive at the Maidan around 11 AM and depart by 1 PM, according to VD Sharma, the Madhya Pradesh BJP chief. The city is adorned with portraits of Modi and banners featuring other BJP leaders, creating anticipation for the event.
The BJP’s ‘Jan Ashirwad Yatras,’ initiated by party president JP Nadda, covered 223 out of 230 assembly constituencies. This extensive outreach showcases the government’s development and welfare schemes under Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
In response, the Congress party has launched the ‘Jan Akrosh Yatra,’ focusing on what they perceive as the BJP-led government’s failures. In the 2018 assembly elections, the Congress briefly held power but saw their coalition government collapse within 15 months.
Union Ministers Bhupendra Yadav and Narendra Tomar, along with state party leaders, inspected the event venue as part of the BJP’s preparations. With the slogan “Abki bar 150 par,” the BJP aims to secure over 150 seats in the upcoming elections, intensifying their campaign efforts.
