The official X page of the US Open Tennis shared Mishra’s impressive performance, captioning it, “That’s how you start a night session. 9-year-old Pranysqa Mishra nailed the National Anthem.” In response, the young singer thanked Priyanka Chopra for being an inspiration to young girls with similar backgrounds.
Mishra’s tweet read, “Thank you @priyankachopra for being a role model for all the brown girls. A remarkable experience as I performed the National Anthem during the @usopen’s opening night. This is a testament to the power of breaking barriers and pursuing dreams. #USOpen #RepresentationMatters.”
Chopra, acknowledging Mishra’s talent, replied on X, saying, “U were amazing @Pranquil.” Dressed in an elegant white attire with ruffles and lace, Mishra’s rendition of the US national anthem left the audience in awe.
Pranysqa Mishra’s vocal prowess extends beyond the US Open; she has also performed the national anthem at various sports leagues, including MLB, NBA, NHL, and MLS games.
