Prime Minister Narendra Modi advised the freshly enlisted jawans and officials of the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) to adopt yoga as a means to alleviate mental stress.
Mr. Modi personally handed over 51,000 appointment letters to new recruits, who are set to join the paramilitary forces, Narcotics Control Bureau, and Delhi Police. These appointments span various roles, including Constable (general duty), Sub-Inspector (general duty), and Non-General Duty Cadre positions.
Emphasizing the importance of maintaining physical fitness, Mr. Modi urged the recruits not to overlook this aspect. He highlighted the prevalence of stressful situations in their line of duty, underscoring that even minor issues can trigger tension. Mr. Modi recommended yoga as a daily practice to cultivate a balanced mind, offering substantial strength to their work. He stressed that yoga isn’t solely a physical exercise; rather, it is a crucial element for nurturing a healthy and balanced mind. This, in turn, aids in mitigating stress during duty.
Mr. Modi acknowledged the challenges faced by uniformed personnel, including exposure to varying weather conditions. He mentioned that at times, their mere presence can effectively maintain law and order, even during prolonged periods of standing.
Furthermore, while addressing the Rozgar Mela occurring across 45 locations, Mr. Modi projected India’s ascent to becoming one of the world’s top three economies within this decade. He took full responsibility for this prediction, explaining its relevance in the context of overall economic growth. He stressed that all sectors, from food to pharma, from space to start-ups, should progress in tandem for the economy to flourish.
Extending his congratulations, the Prime Minister referred to the new recruits as “Amrit Rakshaks,” signifying their role as guardians of the government’s ambitious “Amrit Kaal” initiative, extending till 2047.
