The actor gained attention on social media when he criticized director Nitesh Tiwari’s adaptation of Ramayana. This followed the backlash faced by Om Raut’s ‘Adipurush’, a film based on the Ramayan epic. The portrayal of characters and dialogues led to criticism.
In an interview with Times Now, Annu Kapoor said, “Name one person on Earth who isn’t struggling. You think struggle is just about money or fame. Even Mukesh Ambani, if you ask him, he also has struggles, he’s a struggler.”
Annu Kapoor’s upcoming film is Dream Girl 2, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday. It’s set to release on August 25th, 2023.
