Filmmaker Sudhanshu Saria’s film “Sanaa,” starring Radhika Madan, is scheduled to have its Australian premiere at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) in 2023. The movie, both written and directed by Saria, has already been screened at prestigious global film festivals such as the Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF), Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, and Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
Saria expressed his pride in the widespread acceptance of “Sanaa” by audiences worldwide. He stated, “It’s been phenomenal taking ‘Sanaa’ to audiences in all parts of the world, and we are all so excited to meet our audience in Melbourne. IFFM has a rich history of bringing pathbreaking cinema to Australia, and we’re proud ‘Sanaa’ is included on that list this year.”
The film’s storyline revolves around an ambitious woman grappling with internal struggles stemming from unresolved trauma. Apart from Radhika Madan, it also features Soham Shah, Shikha Talsania, and Pooja Bhatt.
The 14th edition of IFFM is slated to take place from August 11 to 20. The festival promises to be a grand celebration of Indian cinema and culture, offering more than 100 films in 20 languages, along with discussions and events for film enthusiasts and the broader community.
