On April 25, 2023, an event was organized in Jaipur Foot, USA, in honor of Harsh Vardhan Shringla, the G-20 Summit’s chief coordinator, which will be joined by guests from 43 different nations. In September 2023, the Summit will be held in New Delhi.
The reception, planned by Prem Bhandari, president of Jaipur Foot USA, commemorates the publication of Shringla’s book, “Not an Accidental Rise,” which looks back on the life and career of the former foreign secretary who rose to the position of top diplomat and offers insights on India’s most significant diplomatic dealings. Distinguished members of the Indian community, as well as the consul general of India in New York, Randhir Jaiswal, and the former ambassador to India, Kenneth Juster, attended the reception.
Ambassador Juster talked about his pleasant experiences fostering Indo-US relations while working with Ambassador Shringla. Shringla’s ongoing affiliation with him after the latter returned to the Ministry of External Affairs as Foreign Secretary was praised by the man. The Consul General, who had worked with Ambassador Shringla in New Delhi, had kind words to say about him. He discussed Shringla’s quick ascent through the ranks to the top position in the MEA.
Both Ambassador Juster and Consul General Jaiswal received thanks from Ambassador Shringla. He conveyed his appreciation for the reception’s hosting to Bhandari and the Jaipur Foot USA team. He congratulated the book’s author and autographed copies for visitors.
On the occasion, Ambassador Shringla also launched his website for the book written by local leader Ravi Pulli.
