PwC US and PwC India are joining forces through a new joint venture designed to expand and accelerate consulting and advisory services for clients in India, the United States and other international markets.
The arrangement will combine PwC India’s consulting operations with the India-based advisory capabilities of PwC US. Rather than maintaining these resources across separate platforms, the firms plan to bring them together under one integrated structure, creating a larger pool of expertise to serve businesses operating across borders.
The move comes as India continues to become increasingly important to multinational companies. Beyond its expanding consumer and business market, the country has emerged as a major destination for Global Capability Centres (GCCs), while also developing into a significant source of technology expertise, engineering talent and innovation.
The new platform is expected to provide services across several high-demand areas, including business strategy, transformation, technology, engineering and artificial intelligence. PwC also plans to broaden its managed-services offering, allowing clients to receive support that extends beyond traditional consulting and includes the operation of selected business functions.
PwC US Senior Partner and CEO Paul Griggs said the partnership would combine the strengths of teams in India and the US while creating greater scale and expertise for clients. He emphasized that the goal is to build a differentiated platform capable of helping businesses address major opportunities regardless of where they operate.
One of the key areas of focus will be supporting US-headquartered companies with GCC operations in India. The joint venture is also expected to strengthen PwC’s ability to work with businesses involved in major international trade corridors and help develop new solutions as artificial intelligence changes business models and service delivery.
Sanjeev Krishan, Chairperson of PwC India and the incoming CEO of the joint venture, said the arrangement would give Indian companies access to broader international capabilities while making it easier for multinational corporations and GCC clients to work with PwC across markets.
The transaction is targeted for completion during the first half of 2027, subject to regulatory clearances and other closing requirements. Until then, both PwC US and PwC India will continue operating through their current structures. The companies have not disclosed financial details, and the new venture will be jointly owned and governed by the two PwC firms.
