India’s MY Bharat platform, operated under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, has achieved global recognition by entering the Guinness World Records for the highest number of participants taking part in an online quiz within a single week. The initiative recorded participation from approximately 0.39 million users, marking a major achievement in large-scale digital youth engagement.
The record was officially presented during a ceremony held at Shram Shakti Bhawan in New Delhi. The Guinness World Records adjudicator Rishinath awarded the certificate to MY Bharat representatives in the presence of Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, highlighting India’s growing focus on technology-driven youth participation initiatives.
The achievement was part of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue (VBYLD) Quiz, a nationwide program aimed at encouraging young citizens to actively engage with the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047. The initiative was designed to build awareness and participation among youth in shaping India’s long-term development goals through an interactive digital platform.
During the official evaluation period from October 25 to October 31, 2025, the platform recorded more than 0.839 million quiz attempts. After detailed verification, including digital forensic audits and data validation, Guinness World Records confirmed 0.39 million eligible participants, officially setting a new global benchmark.
The quiz saw participation from across India, with youth from all 28 states and 8 union territories contributing to one of the largest digital engagement exercises in the country. Overall participation through the MY Bharat portal exceeded 5.042 million youth registrations, reflecting the platform’s strong nationwide reach and appeal.
Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya praised the achievement and emphasized the importance of India’s youth in national development. He noted that nearly two-thirds of India’s population is under the age of 35, making youth-focused platforms essential for future growth and policy engagement.
Officials also highlighted that MY Bharat has grown rapidly, registering around 2.19 million users within just three years. This expansion demonstrates increasing trust among young people in structured digital platforms that encourage participation in governance and nation-building.
Senior officials, including Youth Affairs Secretary Pallavi Jain Govil, along with representatives from Guinness World Records and youth participants, attended the ceremony. They emphasized that MY Bharat has become a credible and inclusive platform for voluntary youth engagement across India.
The record reinforces India’s expanding digital ecosystem for civic participation and highlights how structured online initiatives are increasingly being used to connect, educate, and empower the country’s young population at scale.
