The action-packed sequel Dhurandhar 2, starring Ranveer Singh, has made history in North America by becoming the highest-grossing Hindi film in terms of premiere advance bookings. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film has already set a record for the largest Bollywood opening in the region purely through pre-sales, even before its theatrical release.
According to box office tracker Venky Box Office, Dhurandhar 2 has earned USD 0.98 million in advance premiere sales in the United States alone, across 678 locations with 1,684 shows. Around 61,491 tickets have already been sold. Including Canada, where approximately 40,000 tickets worth USD 0.44 million have been purchased for the first weekend, the total North America pre-sale collection has reached an impressive USD 1.2 million, surpassing the previous record held by Animal. Analysts predict the North America total could exceed USD 2 million, reflecting high audience demand.
In India, ticket sales began on March 7, shortly after the release of the film’s trailer, but currently cover only paid preview shows scheduled for March 18. Despite the limited booking window, advance collections have already reached USD 3.6 million (around ₹29.4 crore), with ticket prices varying widely—from as low as USD 2 in select theatres to as high as USD 29–30 in premium venues like Mumbai Maison PVR and Jio World Drive-In. Paid preview showtimes generally begin around 4:45–5:00 pm across cities.
The sequel brings back Ranveer Singh as Hamza Mazari, also known as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, the fan-favourite character from the original film. The ensemble cast includes Arjun Rampal as Major Iqbal, Sanjay Dutt as SP Chaudhary Aslam, R. Madhavan as Ajay Sanyal, alongside Sara Arjun, Danish Pandor, and Rakesh Bedi reprising their roles.
With strong pre-sale momentum both internationally and domestically, Dhurandhar 2 is poised for a record-breaking opening weekend, reinforcing Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar’s box office appeal. Fans across North America and India are eagerly awaiting the film, with ticket demand reaching unprecedented levels.
