Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda celebrated their long-awaited wedding on February 26, 2026, at ITC Mementos in Udaipur, combining a traditional Telugu ceremony with a Kodava wedding in the evening. Keeping their eight-year romance largely private, the couple chose an intimate setting away from media attention, sharing select glimpses of their special day with fans.
A standout image from their wedding album evoked their iconic scene from the 2018 film Geetha Govindam. In the original still, Vijay leans toward Rashmika to tie a pustelu, the Telugu equivalent of a mangalsutra, around her neck. In their real-life wedding, Vijay mirrored this gesture, holding Rashmika’s hands, delighting fans who remembered their on-screen romance.
Expressing his emotions on Instagram, Vijay wrote: “One day, I missed her. Missed her in a way that made me feel my day would’ve been better if she were around. Like my meals would’ve felt more wholesome if she were sitting across from me.” Rashmika responded: “Viijju, I am always short of words to describe the feelings I have for you! Everything—achievements, struggles, happiness, sadness—makes more sense because I have you witnessing it all.”
Pre-wedding festivities ran from February 23, including a Japanese dinner, pool volleyball, and a friendly cricket match called the “VIROSH Premiere League.” Sangeet was on February 24, followed by Haldi and Mehendi ceremonies on February 25. Attendees included directors Tharun Bhascker and Sandeep Reddy Vanga, actors Rahul Ravindran, Eesha Rebba, Ashika Ranganath, and Kalyani Priyadarshan, and stylist Shravya Varma.
Rashmika and Vijay first met while filming Geetha Govindam (2018) and later starred together in Dear Comrade (2019). Geetha Govindam became a blockbuster, grossing approximately $16 million USD at the box office, cementing its place in fans’ hearts and making the wedding recreation especially nostalgic.
