Willow by Cricbuzz announced on February 6 that it will stream Team USA matches in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup free of charge on YouTube, marking a first for viewers in the United States and Canada. The tournament runs from February 7 to March 8, with coverage kicking off at 8:30 a.m. ET on February 7 for the USA vs. India match. In addition to YouTube, the matches will also be accessible at no cost on Willow and Cricbuzz platforms.
To enhance the viewing experience, Willow has partnered with Jomboy Media to produce an alternate, creator-led telecast for select matches. This format, available on the Jomboy Media YouTube channel, will feature commentary by Jimmy “Jomboy” O’Brien, former England international and 2019 World Cup winner Liam Plunkett, and analyst Adam Bannon. The alternate feed offers live reactions, discussions, and insights alongside the action, providing a more conversational style while maintaining cricket analysis and context.
All four Team USA matches will be available through this free initiative, including the USA vs. Pakistan game. For the rest of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, matches can be watched on Willow’s linear channel via YouTube TV’s NFL RedZone with Sports Plus package, and through Willow’s Primetime Channels service on YouTube.
Beyond streaming, Willow by Cricbuzz is introducing upgrades across its website, mobile apps, and connected TV applications, aiming to enhance accessibility and viewer engagement. This move reflects Willow’s commitment to expanding cricket coverage and making the sport more widely accessible to fans in North America, particularly for Team USA’s historic World Cup campaign.
With this initiative, Willow ensures that fans in the US and Canada can follow every moment of Team USA’s matches, while also offering a fresh, interactive viewing option through the Jomboy Media alternate telecast. This represents a significant step in bringing global cricket closer to American audiences.
