Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that Israel deeply values its partnership with India and shares a strong resolve to defeat terrorism, following a phone conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In a message shared on social media, Netanyahu thanked Prime Minister Modi for the warm interaction and extended his best wishes to the people of India. He highlighted the strength of bilateral ties and underlined the shared commitment of both nations to counter terrorism.
Prime Minister Modi also described the conversation as cordial, noting that the two leaders discussed ways to further strengthen the India-Israel strategic partnership in the year ahead. He said they exchanged views on regional and global developments of mutual interest.
During the call, Netanyahu briefed Prime Minister Modi on the implementation of the Gaza Peace Plan. Modi reaffirmed India’s consistent support for efforts aimed at achieving a just and durable peace in the region.
According to official statements, both leaders emphasised the importance of deepening cooperation in areas of national security and agreed to work towards unlocking the full potential of bilateral relations for the benefit of their people.
The conversation builds on sustained high-level engagement between New Delhi and Jerusalem. In previous interactions, both leaders have reiterated a zero-tolerance approach towards terrorism and underscored the growing strategic convergence between India and Israel across defence, security, and technology domains.
